This guy plans on making a sit com with a polyamory theme. Also check out other posts about the subject. Don't forget his Livejournal entries either, I kind of like this one, about bisexuality.

A lot of focus on the kind of polygamy practised by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but nevertheless interesting.

There's a sidelong sensibility at work in this post-feminist analog to the Renaissance's great work of strategy. Harriet Rubin urges women to triumph by turning their enemies into allies and their fear into power; by enlarging their sphere rather than defending it; and by learning to best instead of win.

But there's a delicate wryness to the art of balancing tensions to one's advantage. One of the most telling examples is that of Sun Tzu, who bet the emperor he could turn the twelve royal concubines into fierce warriors, but was bested by the concubines, who simply giggled when he barked orders at them. Modern women may find interpreting this a challenge, but an entertaining one.

If you're like most women, there's at least one part of your body that you wish you could change or "improve." It might be your weight, your thighs, or your nose -- but no matter what it is, it keeps you from feeling good about yourself. In Love Your Looks, Carolyn Hillman shows you how to get beyond societal or self-imposed standards and learn to accept -- and appreciate -- your own special attractiveness. Full of affirming, hands-on exercises, this compassionate guide
-- reveals how your upbringing affects the way you view your appearance, then shows you how to revise that perspective
-- teaches you how to regard your weight in a healthy and nurturing way, rather than in one that makes you feel unattractive and insecure
-- shows you how to improve your sex life with techniques that foster body love
-- tells you how to celebrate the uniqueness of your own beauty, instead of obsessing about how you're "supposed" to look

Most important, Love Your Looks will teach you how to develop positive feelings of acceptance and approval of your appearance, so you can feel good about your body and yourself.

Women in positions of leadership in our society are often forced to choose between professional and personal relationships. Some men are intimidated or affronted by these women's power and accomplishments, while leading women can themselves show poor discernment, choosing male partners who insist on dominating and controlling their relationships. Author Barbara Wright Abernathy says that a new understanding of gender is the answer. Stepping away from patriarchal Old World Conventions, she draws on Native American traditions for her exciting premise: four out of five women are Earth Mothers--nurturing and others-oriented--while the remaining fifth is a Star Woman whose nature is to lead and inspire. Both types of women are valid, but neither will have happy romances or relationships if they do not find the right kind of men to compliment their distinctly different personalities and needs. "Venus On Top" will help each woman discover her own inner Earth Mother or Star Woman, teaching her how to discern, attract and keep the man who is right for her.

The Kama Sutra translated into English.

Kamasutram, generally known to the Western world as Kama Sutra, is an ancient Indian text on human sexual behavior, widely considered to be the standard work on love in Sanskrit literature. The text was composed by Vatsyayana, as a brief summary of various earlier works belonging to a tradition known generically as Kama Shastra, the science of love. Kama is literally desire. Sutra signfies a thread, or discourse threaded on a series of aphorisms. Sutra was a standard term for a technical text, thus also the Yogasutram of Patanjali. The text is originally known as Vatsyayana Kamasutram ("Vatsyayana's Aphorisms on Love"). Tradition holds that the author was a celibate scholar. He is believed to have lived sometime between the 1st to 6th centuries AD, probably during the great cultural flowering of the Gupta period.
